Take off nut (1).
T a k e screw (2) out of battery terminal clamp (3).
2.
P u t screw (2) through battery-to-rheostat cable terminal (4). Put screw
b a c k in battery terminal clamp (3).
3.
P u t battery cable terminal (5) on screw (2).
NOTE
A d j u s t m e n t of electric brake
rheostat depends on towed
l o a d . T h e heavier the load,
the higher the setting.
E x a c t s e t t i n g should be set
by operation. For mainte-
n a n c e o f controller, refer to
NOTE
Follow-on Maintenance Action Required:
1.
O n truck M543A2, install fuel tank. Refer to
T M 9-2320-211-20.
2.
C l o s e hood and left side panel. Refer to
T M 9-2320-211-10.
3.
P u t on front and intermediate cab tunnels.
R e f e r to TM 9-2320-211-20.
4.
R e c o n n e c t battery ground cable. Refer to
T M 9-2320-211-20.
