(6) Motor resistor, electrical leads, and connector.
FRAME 1
1.
W i p e bracket (1) with electrical leads (2, 3 , 4, and 5) with cloth dipped in
d r y c l e a n i n g s o l v e n t . W i p e bracket and electrical leads dry.
2.
I n s p e c t five electrical leads (2) for damaged insulation and connectors. Go
to frame 2 if leads are bad.
C h e c k continuity through electrical leads (2) by using an ohmmeter. Place one
3.
ohmmeter lead on end of electrical lead and the other ohmmeter lead on end of
e l e c t r i c a l lead pin (6). G o to frame 2, if an open circuit is found.
I n s p e c t electrical leads (3, 4, and 5) for damaged insulation and connectors.
4.
Get new leads if leads are bad.
C h e c k continuity through electrical leads (3, 4, and 5) by placing ohmmeter
5.
l e a d s on each end of electrical lead. G e t new lead if circuit is open.
6.
I n s p e c t terminal strip (7) and diode holder (8) for cracks and damaged
t h r e a d s . G o to frame 2, if any are found.
C h e c k motor resistor by placing ohmmeter leads on outer terminals (9 and 10)
