C l e a n tube (1) of flame detector switch (2) with wire brush. Check tube for

s t r a i g h t n e s s . G e t new flame detector switch (2) if tube (1) is not straight.

C l e a n bow spring (3) with wire brush. B o w s p r i n g ( 3 ) s h o u l d b e s t r a i g h t .

G e t new flame detector switch (2), if bow spring is bent.

C h e c k to see if microswitch (4) clicks by pressing in on shaft ( 5 ) . M i c r o s w i t c h

( 4 ) should also click when shaft (5) is let out. Get new flame d e t e c t o r s w i t c h

( 2 ) , if microswitch (4) does not click.

Check that quartz rod (6) is not broken or chipped. Get new quartz rod (6),

i f it is broken or chipped.
