T u r n housing (1) on one side on wood blocks as shown so that input shaft can
b e driven out of rear opening.

U s i n g brass punch and hammer, t a p on forward end of input shaft (2) and
o u t e r r a c e o f f r o n t b e a r i n g ( 3 ) . D r i v e input shaft together with front bearing
a n d rear bearing (4) towards rear of housing (1).
T a k e out front bearing (3), input drive gear (5) with bearing (6), and two

t h r u s t washers (7).
4.
Press bearing (6) out of input drive gear (5). Refer to Part 1, para 7-7.
5.
Press rear bearing (4) off input shaft (2). Refer to Part 1, para 7-7.
