Replacement of Inner Boom.

FRAME 1
WARNING
Inner boom (1) must be held up at sheave end when sliding
it into outer boom (2). If this is not done, outer boom can
tilt and cause injury.
Put chain sling (3) with spreader bar (4) in place at 12-FOOT MARK
1.
and 18-FOOT MARKS on inner boom (1) and join chain sling to chain
hoist (5) on A-frame (6).
Raise inner boom (1) to level of outer boom (2).
Soldier A 2.
As soldiers B and C walk inner boom (1) into outer boom,

raise and lower inner boom to keep it from binding.
Walk inner boom (1) into outer boom (2) up to 18-FOOT MARK.

B and C
Put safety jack under sheave end of inner boom (1).
5.
Lower inner boom (1) onto safety jack.

Move chain sling (3) to sheave end of inner boom (1) and take out spreader
7.
bar (4).
