FRAME

P u t a coat of grease on packing (1) and piston rod (2).

NOTE

Packing comes in sets. Each ring is split to allow easy

i n s t a l l a t i o n . B e sure to stagger joints around piston

r o d to assure a tight seal.

P u t new packing (1) on piston (2).

U s i n g a block of wood or a brass bar carefully push packing around piston rod.

S l i d e packing nut (3) down and tighten to 1/8-inch clearance between packing

nut and cylinder head (4).

NOTE

F o l l o w - o n M a i n t e n a n c e Action Required:

S t a r t e n g i n e . D r a w back inner boom and check

t h a t piston rod does not leak.
