FRAME 1
WARNING
T h e hoist winch motor assembly (1) is heavy. Be
c a r e f u l to keep tension on rope sling when screws
are put in so that the hoist winch motor assembly
does not slip or fall.  I f motor assembly slips or
f a l l s , it can cause serious injury to personnel and
d a m a g e to equipment.
1.
P u t rope sling on motor assembly (1) and hoist as shown.  Tell
Soldier A
s o l d i e r B when ready.  G u i d e motor assembly into place while
s o l d i e r B lifts it.
U s i n g hoist, lift motor assembly (1). Keep tension on rope sling
2.
Soldier B
until motor assembly is in place.
P u t gasket (2) on motor assembly (1). Aline keyway in coupling
3.
Soldier A
( 3 ) with key in shaft (4).
4.
P u t in four cap screws with lockwashers (5).
5.
T e l l soldier B to put slack in rope sling. Take rope sling off
m o t o r assembly (1) and hoist.
