P u t thrust washer (1) in place.
1.
CAUTION
Never drive companion flanges (2) onto drive shaft
a s s e m b l y (3) or drive shaft bearings will be damaged.
U s i n g differential case companion flange replacer, put two

c o m p a n i o n flanges (2) onto drive shaft assembly (3).
P u t on two nuts (4 and 5).
3.
H o l d nut (4) as soldier B tightens nut (5).
Soldier A 4.
Tighten nut (5) to 800 pound-feet.
Soldier B 5.
P u t in two cotter pins (6).
