NOTE

S h i m s (1) are used to set bevel pinion gear tooth depth.

Use same shims taken out in disassembly the first time

g e a r tooth depth is checked.

P u t needed number of shims (1) in place on gear side of retainer assembly (2).

S l i d e drive shaft assembly (3) with shims (1) into bore in differential carrier

a s s e m b l y ( 4 ) . L i n e up bearing inner race (5) with bearing (6).

L i n e up holes in shims (1), retainer assembly (2), and differential carrier

assembly (3).

S e a t drive shaft assembly (3) with shims (1) against differential carrier

assembly (4).

P u t in eight screws (7) with flat washers (8).
