Put hardening sealer on outside of oil seal (1). Pack inside lip of seal with

s m a l l amount of grease.

Drive oil seal (1) into place in rear output shaft cover (2). Lip of oil seal

m u s t face transmission case (3).

Put rear output shaft cover gasket (4) and cover (2) with oil seal (1) in

p l a c e o n t r a n s m i s s i o n c a s e ( 3 ) . A l i n e oil holes in transmission case, gasket,

and cover.

P u t in and tighten four screws (5) and lockwashers (6) to 65 to 75 pound-

feet.
