1.
C h e c k that teeth on gears (1 through 4) are not twisted, nicked, burred,
w o r n o r b r o k e n . T a k e off raised metal with a honing stone. If more repair is
n e e d e d , get a new gear.
2.
C h e c k that synchronizers (5 and 6) have no nicks, scratches or wear. If
d a m a g e d , get a new part.
3.
C h e c k that splines in bores of synchronizers (5 and 6) are not damaged. If
s p l i n e s are damaged, get a new synchronizer.
