C h e c k flywheel housing inside rim for out-of-round condition as follows:
M o u n t dial indicator (1) on crankshaft flywheel flange (2).

R e s t indicator point (3) on inside rim of flywheel housing (4).
c.
S e t indicator dial (5) to zero reading.
T u r n crankshaft 360 and check out-of-round.
d.
R e a d i n g must not exceed 0.008 inch.
e.
I f reading is more than given limits, get new flywheel housing.
