S p r e a d lubricating oil around oil seal before putting damper and pulley
a s s e m b l y back.
P r e h e a t crankshaft damper and pulley assembly (1) at 200F for 30 minutes.

NOTE
To insure proper seating of crankshaft damper and
p u l l e y assembly, the installation of the heated dam-
p e r and pulley assembly, including installation and
t i g h t e n i n g of retaining screw, should be done as
r a p i d l y as possible before temperature of the pulley
and crankshaft equalize.
S t a r t crankshaft damper and pulley assembly (1) on crankshaft alining

p u l l e y keyway with pulley locator. H e a t e d pulley should slide on
c r a n k s h a f t and seat against deflector.
4.
I f pulley (1) does not seat the right way, take out pulley mounting bolt,
p u t crankshaft damper and pulley reflector in the end of crankshaft.
H o l d replacer bolt (2) while turning plain nut (3) to seat damper and

pulley assembly (1).
T a k e out damper and pulley replacer and pulley locator.
