Slide flange (l) onto splined end of propeller shaft (2).

Using 2 3/8-inch wrench, screw on and tighten nut (3) onto propeller shaft (2).
3 . Aline holes in nut (3) and propeller shaft (2) and put in cotter pin (4). Using pliers,
bend open ends of cotter pin.
