Remove the two bolts (4) securing the load holding valve (1) to the jib extension cylinder

assembly (2).

Retain the two seals (5) between the load holding valve (1) and the jib extension cylinder

assembly (2).

(6)

Check all threaded components for wear and damage.

(7)

Check the two seals for damage.

(8)

Replace components as necessary.

Install

(1)

Fit two seals (5) to the jib extension cylinder assembly (2).

(2)

Ensure that the two seals (5) are seated correctly.

(3)

Fit the load holding valve (1) to the jib extension cylinder assembly (2) with the bolts (4).

(4)

Fit the hydraulic pipes (3) to the load holding valve (1) in the positions noted during

removal.

Follow on tasks

(1)

Operate the crane in accordance with the operator's manual TM 5-5420-279-10.

(2)

Check for leaks.
