a.
Remove
(1)
Disconnect the coupling link (1) and
remove the swivel safety hook (2).
(2)
Unscrew the eyebolt (3) and remove
the shackle (4) and master link (5).
(3)
Examine all components for damage
and corrosion.
(4)
Replace components as required.
b.
Install
(1)
Place the master link (5) on the
shackle (4) and secure to the lifting
beam with the eyebolt.
(2)
Attach the swivel safety hook (2) to the
master link (5) with the coupling link
(1).
c.
Install
(1)
Refer to technical bulletin TB 43-0142
safety inspection and testing of lifting
devices.
