SHIPMENT AND LIMITED STORAGE

4-1. Packaging and Packing. Assemble the container completely. Secure mounting plates, brackets and shock mounts

in place. Secure accessory items at any convenient place inside the container. Assemble closure bolts or devices and

secure firmly in place (do not torque). Coat all exposed operating surfaces, closure devices and exposed threaded

surfaces with corrosion preventive compound conforming to MIL-C-16173, Grade I (P-1).

CAUTION

Do not apply the compound in the

area adjacent to the relief valve.

Care must always be exercised to

avoid doing anything that would

clog the valve.

4-2. Marking.. Mark containers for shipment in accordance with MIL-STD-129.

Use a tag showing the origin and destination.
