a. Physically inspect the subject component installed on the MH60K aircraft. If the part shows any
part number other than P/N 7040008162043, mark out the old part number and add part number
7040008162043.
b. Visually inspect each paragraph 6 component to determine whether the Bellcrank Support Assem-
bly was manufactured by Air Industries, CAGE 8L513. The manufacturer's data plate containing the
manufacturer's CAGE code and part SN is attached to the web of the bridge.
c.  If the manufacturer cannot be determined (no CAGE code and no serial number) then remove the
part and contact the logistical POC in paragraph 16b for further instructions.
d. If the the support assembly does not show the Air Industries code, CAGE 8L513, the inspection is
complete.
e. If the support assembly shows CAGE 8L513 as the manufacturer, correct IAW paragraph 9.
9.
a. Inspect the aircraft time change DA Form 240816 for the subject part. ULLSA users that do not
have a line in their component legitimate code file for a Bellcrank Support Assembly, P/N
7040008162042/043/045 with a CAGE code of 8L513, contact Mr. Al Burleson, commercial
2568764468, DSN 7464468, or EMAIL BURLESONAE@EXCHANGE1.REDSTONE.ARMY.MIL.
b. For P/N 7040008162042/043, if total time since new is 5,000 hours or more, or the total time since
new cannot be determined, remove the part, and store locally IAW paragraph 10d(1). Report IAW paragraph
14b.
c.  For P/N 70400081620043, if the total time since new is 2,200 hours or more, remove the part,
and store locally IAW paragraph 10d. If the total time since new cannot be determined, remove the part and
destroy IAW paragraph 10d(2).
d. If the total time since new is less than 5,000 hours for P/N 7040008162042/045, or less than 2,200
hours for P/N 7040008162043, annotate the reduced retirement life of the aircraft time, DA Form 240816.
Store locally any parts that reach the retirement IAW paragraph 10D(1). Report IAW paragraph 14b.
e. A copy of this message shall be inserted in the appropriate publications as authority to implement
the changes in retirement life until testing of the subject part is completed.
10. Supply/Parts and Disposition.
a. Parts Required. If the inspected assembly must be replaced, the following items will be required.

b. Requisitioning Instructions. Requisition replacement parts using normal supply procedures. All req-
uisitions shall use project code "CC 5759" "XFI" .
NOTE
Project code "XFI" is required to track and establish a data base of stock fund expenditures
incurred by the field as a result of ASAM actions.
c.
Bulk and Consumable Materials. N/A.
d. Disposition.
(1) Tag each paragraph 6 component with a suspended tag/labelmateriel, DD Form 15761 and
store locally pending completion of tests and final disposition instructions.
(2) Demil: Demil the part IAW TM 1150032823.
e. Disposition of Hazardous Material. IAW Environmental Protective Agency directives as implement-
ed by your servicing environmental coordination (AR 2001).
