C h e c k whether there is a captive screw (1) in bottom mounting

h o l e of fuel pump (2).

C h e c k whether there is a fuel pump mounting stud (3) on engine.

I f fuel pump (2) has captive screw (1) and engine has fuel pump

m o u n t i n g stud (3), take out mounting stud.

NOTE

New or rebuilt fuel pumps (2) come with new preformed

packing (4).

I f fuel pump (2) does not have preformed packing (4), put it on.

NOTE

If mounting stud (3) was taken out and thrown away, go

to frame 9.

I f fuel pump (2) does not have captive screw (1) and engine

has

f u e l p u mp mounting stud (3), slide pump over mounting stud

and

h o l d it against mounting adapter (5). Mounting stud should

fit

t h r o u g h bottom mounting hole on fuel pump. Mounting holes
