Coat both sides of gasket (1) with sealant. Put gasket in place on cylinder

block (2).

P u t engine front plate (3) in place. Put in and tighten six screws with lock-

washers (4).

C o a t front main bearing cap (5) and lower main bearing half (6) with oil. Put

main bearing half into main bearing cap.

P u t front main bearing cap (5) in place in cylinder block (2). Put in two

c a p screws with washers (7). T i g h t e n two capscrews to 80 to 90 pound-feet.

T i g h t e n two cap screws (7) to 120 to 125 pound-feet.
