NOTE

F o r engines LD 465-1, LD 465-1A, and LDT 465-1A,

go to frame 1. F o r engines LDS 465-1 and

L D S 465-1A, go to frame 2. For engine LDS 465-2

go to frame 5.

FRAME

C h e c k that clutch disk drive hub (1) has no worn splines and looseness on

driven plate (2).

C h e c k that there are no broken or missing damper springs (3).

C h e c k that there are no loose pins (4) holding retainer plate (5) to driven

plate (2).

C h e c k that clutch disk facing (6) is not burned, loose on driven plates (2) or

d a m a g e d in any other way.

C h e c k that clutch disk (7) is not cracked or worn.

I f clutch disk (7) is damaged, throw disk away and get a new one.

Measure thickness of disk facing (6) at several dates. If thickness is less

t h a n 0.350 inch, throw disk away and get a new -o n e .
