cleaning procedures given in para 4-3.
Inspection and Repair.

NOTE
I f working on fans with aluminum blades, do
frame 1.
I f working on fans with s t e e l blades, go to frame 2.
C h e c k that fan (1) has no nicks, c r a c k s or any other damage. Take out minor
1.
nicks with a fine mill file.  I f more repair is needed, get a new fan.
C h e c k that four bolts (2) have no damaged threads or other damage. If bolts
2.
a r e damaged, get new ones.
C h e c k that four lockwashers (3) are not cracked or damaged in any way. If
3.
l o c k w a s h e r s are damaged, get new ones.
4.
C h e c k that 30 rivets (4) are not loose or damaged. If rivets are loose or
d a m a g e d , get a new fan (1).
