I f readings are not within given limits, throw away
part and get a new one.

M e a s u r e free length of two bypass valve springs (1).
U s i n g spring tester, m e a s u r e load needed to squeeze each of two bypass valve

s p r i n g s (1) down to 1.380 inches.
U s i n g spring tester, measure maximum solid height of two bypass valve springs
