m a i n bearing halves (4 and 5) have alinement tab (6)

N u m b e r four upper main bearing half (2) is called upper
m a i n thrust bearing half and was already put on.
I f main bearing halves (1, 2, 4, and 5) taken out of en-
g i n e were not thrown away, they must be used in this
t a s k . M a i n bearing halves and main bearing saddles
( 7 ) are called by numbers one to seven counting from
f r o n t to rear of crankcase (8). Used main bearing
halves are marked with a number in alinement tabs
( 3 and 6).
S p r e a d a thin coat of Prussian blue on surface of number one upper main
b e a r i n g half (1) which rests on number one main bearing saddle (7).
P u t number one upper main bearing half (1) on number one main bearing
s a d d l e ( 7 ) . Alinement tab (3) must fit in notch (9) in number one main
D o steps 1 and 2 again for all other upper main bearing halves (1).
