Seven main bearing caps (1) are line bored with crank-
c a s e (2). If any main bearing cap is damaged, crankcase
and all main bearing caps must be thrown away.
Main bearing bores are called by numbers one to seven
counting from front to rear of crankcase (2).
Using dial indicator, m e a s u r e inside diameter of number six bearing bore (3).
I n s i d e diameter must be 3.9370 to 3.9380 inches.
I f inside diameter of number six bearing bore (3) is not 3.9370 to 3.9380
i n c h e s , throw away crankcase (2) and get a new one.
New crankcase (2) will come with new main bearing caps (1).
If diameter of number six main bearing bore (3) is 3.9370 to 3.9380 inches,
