Hold up fuel pump assembly (1) so it does not fall when mounting

Soldier A 1.

s c r e w s are taken out.

I f fuel pump (1) is held with screw (2) as in view A, unscrew but

Soldier B 2.

d o not take out screw.

I f fuel pump is held with nut and lockwasher (3) on stud (4) as in

v i e w B, take off nut and lockwasher (3).

Take out two screws and lockwashers (5).

P u l l fuel pump assembly (1) toward back of engine and take it out.

Soldier A 5.

If engine has mounting stud (4) , make sure that pump assembly

clears it.

P u t container under front end of fuel pump assembly ( 1). Tilt

f u e l pump forward and drain oil inside fuel pump into can.

NOTE

Preformed packing (6) may stick to fuel injection pump

assembly (1).

T a k e off and throw away preformed packing (6).
