(5) Overheat switch.
FRAME 1
1.
C o n n e c t a jumper wire (1) by terminal screws (2 and 3).
2.
S t a r t heater (4) and let it run until pilot light (5) glows.
NOTE
The jumper wire (1) bypasses the restriction thermostat
and keeps the heater on HI heat.
WARNING
Coolant will be hot.  U s e caution when working near
h o t coolant.  S e v e r e b u r n s c o u l d r e s u l t .
M e a s u r e temperature of coolant at outlet hose (6) by letting coolant run on

thermometer.
H e a t e r (4) will overheat and burning will stop. Make note of the coolant

t e m p e r a t u r e w h e n b u r n i n g s t o p s .  T e m p e r a t u r e should be between 220F
and 250F.
F l i p control switch (7) to OFF position. Let the blower motor stop. Take out

jumper wire (1).
I f temperature is not as specified, get new overheat thermostat. Refer to
6.
