T a k e off gasket (1) from igniter (2). Throw away gasket (1). Make a note
o f the amount of carbon, light coating or heavy build-up on igniter (2).
T h r o w igniter away.
Take off gasket (3) and preformed packing (4) from burner (5). Throw

a w a y gasket and preformed packing.  Make a note of amount of carbon on
b u r n e r  ( 5 ) .  D o not take burner apart any further.
CAUTION
Do not damage screen or wick when scraping carbon. If
they are damaged, get new burner assembly (5).
S c r a p e carbon from burner assembly (5), using a sharp tool.

I n s p e c t heat exchanger (6) for dents or possible leaks. Get new heat

e x c h a n g e r (6) if it is dented or leaking.
WARNING
Eye shields must be worn when using compressed air.
E y e injury can occur if eye shields are not used.
S o a k heat exchanger (6) in water for a few minutes. Blow out with

compressed air.
