Readings must be within limits given in table 17-10.

I f readings are not within given limits, throw away

part and get a new one.

C h e c k that input shaft and pump shaft shifter cover (1) is not cracked or

w a r p e d , and that threaded holes are not damaged.

C h e c k that two shafts (2 and 3) and two forks (4) are not cracked or broken.

C h e c k that forks fit well on shafts.

Measure two springs (5).
