Walk inner boom (1) all the way into outer boom (2).

Soldier A 2.
Raise or lower inner boom (1) to aline clevis pin hole in crowd
c y l i n d e r (3) with clevis pin hole in outer boom (2).
P u s h crowd cylinder clevis pin (4) into place.

P u t in cotter pin (5).
5.
P u t boom stop (6) in place.
P u t in four screws and lockwashers (7).
6.
Do steps 5 and 6 again on other side of outer boom (2).

8.
T a k e chain hoist off chain sling (8) and take chain sling off inner
boom (2).
NOTE
F o l l o w - o n Maintenance Action Required:
Replace boom assembly. Refer to para 17-44.

R e p l a c e hoist winch cable. R e f e r to TM 9-2320-211-20.

O i l and grease boom assembly as given in
L O 9-2320-211-12.
4.
Adjust crane inner and outer boom rollers. Refer
t o TM 9-2320-211-20.
