Soldier A
1.
H o o k up chain sling (1) to tailgate (2) as shown. Join chain sling
t o hoist and take up slack in chain sling.
Soldier B
2.
U n h o o k two chains (3) from two slotted chain catches (4).
WARNING
W h e n pulling pins (5), make sure that there is tension on
c h a i n and chain hoist or tailgate may tip or fall, causing
serious injury to personnel.
3.
P u l l out two tailgate pins (5).
Soldier A
4.
U s i n g hoist, lift tailgate (2) off body (6). Set it down on wood
blocks.
5.
U n h o o k chain sling (1) from hoist and tailgate (2).
