E Q U I P M E N T CONDITION: Truck parked, engine off, handbrake set.

Removal.

FRAME 1

Soldier A 1.

H o o k chain hoist and chain (1) to tailgate assembly (2) as shown.

Soldier B 2.

U s i n g chain hoist, take slack out of chain (1).

NOTE

If working on truck M54A2C, do steps 3 and 4. If

w o r k i n g on trucks M54A2 and M55A2, do step 5.

Soldier A 3.

T u r n two handles (3), one on each side of tailgate assembly (2), to

left.

T u r n two rings (4) 90 and aline two T-bolts (5) with two slots

(6).

P u l l handles (3) out from slots (6).

T a k e two hooks (7) out of two slots (8).
