(5) Cam assembly.
NOTE
Cam groove is copper plate when new. Wearing away of
this plating is normal.
Check that cam groove (1) is not cracked, burned, or damaged in any other way.

Check that splines (2) are not twisted or worn.
3.
Check that cam retainers (3) are not worn or loose.
4.
Check that cam thrust bearings (4) have no roughness or other damage.
5.
If parts are damaged, get new ones in their place.
