TOOLS:  Drift pin punch
1 1/2-inch wrench
5-pound hammer
Leather gloves
1-inch wrench
1 1/16-inch wrench
SUPPLIES:  None
PERSONNEL: One
EQUIPMENT CONDITION: Truck parked, engine off, handbrake set.
WARNING
Always wear leather gloves when handling winch
cable. Never let cable run through hands. Broken
or rusty wires could cause serious injury to per-
sonnel.
CAUTION
Keep tension on cable whenever winch drum is
turning. Failure to do this will cause cable to
snarl.
a.  Preliminary Procedures.
(1) Extend and lower boom. Refer to TM 9-2320-211-10.
(2) Lower cable until crane snatch block rests on ground. Refer to
TM 9-2320-211-10.
