EQUIPMENT CONDITION: Truck parked, engine off, handbrake set.

a. Removal.

WARNING

Always jack up one wheel of the axle driven by

propeller shaft being removed. Refer to para

10-3. This is to keep personnel from being hurt

by windup of shaft.

Working under truck, using 9/16-inch wrench, unscrew and take off eight

nuts (1) from screws (2).

2. Take out eight screws (2) and drop down loose end of propeller shaft (3).
