The emergency rotary control valve is located on the right hand side of the operator's
crane control block. This valve has two settings, 'normal operation' and 'emergency
operation'. The control valve should only be set for 'emergency operation' if the crane's
electrical system has failed, so that in the event of such a failure the crane boom and
extensions can be folded. The valve should always be in the 'OFF' up position (vertical)
and wire locked in place.
