Note the position and location of the harness connection being removed.

To remove the mil plug connections see unit maintenance procedure 5-140.

To remove the spade connections see unit maintenance procedure 5-141.

Remove the nut and bolt to release the ground cable connection.

Note the positions of and remove all clips and ties securing the harness to the frame of the

launch system.

(9)

Remove the harness.

(10)

Check the harness for damage due to chaffing or crushing.

(11)

Check the plugs for damage to the pins, sockets or spade connectors.

Carry out a continuity check on each cable in the harness. See unit maintenance

procedure 5-142.

Carry out a shorting check on each cable in the harness. See unit maintenance procedure

5-143.

Install

Fit the harness along its route on the frame of the launch system.

(4)

Secure the harness using the clips and ties at the positions noted during removal.

(5)

Fit the harness connections to the electrical components at the positions and locations

noted during removal.

Follow on tasks

Switch the battery shutoff switch to the on position.

(5)

Check the operation of the launch system under repair.
