Remove
(1)
De-pressurize the system. Refer to unit maintenance procedure 5-118.
(2)
Note the position of and remove the hydraulic pipes (3) connected to the motor (6) with the
screws (4) and lock washers (5).
(3)
Remove the hydraulic pipe (2).
(4)
Remove the four screws (19) and lock washers (18) securing the motor (6) to the coupling
(17). Discard the lock washers (18).
(5)
Remove the motor (6).
(6)
Note the position of and remove the hydraulic pipes (11, 12 and 13) connected to the pump
(14).
(7)
Remove the screws (15) and lock washers (16) securing the pump (14) to the coupling
(17). Discard the lock washers (16).
(8)
Remove the pump (14).
(9)
If required remove the eight screws (18) and remove the front cover from the coupling (17).
(10)
Remove the four screws (10) washers (9) and nyloc nuts (8) securing the coupling to the
cross connection pump bracket (7). Discard the nyloc nuts (8).

Install
(1)
If removed earlier, fit he coupling (17) to the cross connection pump bracket (7) and secure
in place with the screws (10), washers (9) and new nyloc nuts (8).
(2)
Fit the coupling cover to the coupling (17) with the eight screws (18).
(3)
Fit the pump (14) to the coupling (17), ensure that the pump drive engages correctly with
the coupling (17).
(4)
Fit the four new lock washers (16) and screws (15) to secure the pump (14) to the coupling
(17).
(5)
Fit the hydraulic pipes (11, 12 and 13) to the pump (14) in the positions noted during
removal.
(6)
Fit the motor (6) to the coupling (17), ensure that the pump drive engages correctly with the
coupling (17).
(7)
Fit the four new lock washers (18) and screws (19) to secure the motor (6) to the coupling
(17).
(8)
Fit the hydraulic pipes (3) to the motor (6) in the positions noted during removal and secure
in place with the screws (4) and new lock washers (5).
(9)
Fit the hydraulic pipe (2) in the position noted during removal.

Follow on tasks
(1)
Switch the battery shutoff switch to the on position.
(2)
Check the operation of the cross connection assembly (1) in accordance with the
operator's manual TM 5-5420-279-10.
