5 - 008 BRIDGE MODULE - FATIGUE MONITOR

Thread locking compound, loctite 243

Equipment Conditions

Bridge Module open on a raised flat surface

NOTE

The fatigue monitor is located on the inside of the parallel module panel, only one fatigue

monitor is fitted per module.

Service

(1)

Gain access to the fatigue monitor (2).

(2)

Remove the four screws (3) and washers (4).

(3)

Remove the cover (1).

(4)

Inspect the fatigue monitor (2) in accordance with the fracture control plan in the operator's

manual TM 5-5420-279-10 Appendix A Fracture Control Plan - A2 Inspection and Action

Requirements Table A.1 page A-3.

Clean any dirt or debris from the cover (1).

(6)

Apply thread locking compound to the four screws (3).

(7)

Position the cover (1) on the parallel module panel, and secure in place with the four

washers (4) and screws (3).

(8)

Fold and stow the parallel module.

(9)

Report inspection findings to your supervisor.
